G & C Series 85 Trail-A-Van
Chassis and body design is as per the proven design of our industrial and off-road trailer products with the proto-type van having covered some 300000km in the field.
As standard the units come with a single rear door hatch type fitted with bar lock, gas struts, ‘t’ type security lock, cushion type door gasket, no drop over-head door skirt across door top, roof rack of the two bar type, round front to reduce wind resistance and assist fuel economy. Trailer body is fully sealed. Optional side hatch doors or rear barn type doors are available as optional extras.
Available in single and tandem axle configurations with no brakes, one axle braked or two axles braked. Standard brakes as listed are mechanical over-ride. Electric, disc, hydraulic, vacuum or full air kits are available as optional extras with poa.
Suspensions offered are single leaf parabolic or multi-leaf five leaf slipper springs rated at 1000kg per axle. Optional suspensions are G & C off-road, Al-Ko I.R.S, rocker type on tandems, simplicity or trailmaster. Axles fitted as standard are 40mm square alloy steel overlaid with heavy-duty stubs, bearings and hubs fitted.
Standard wheel configurations is 14” fitted with new 185 steel first quality radial tyres fitted to 14” sunrasia, optional extras 16”. Wheels may also be supplied in various hub and axle configurations, some of which are Land Cruiser, Nissan, Land Rover F100 or Bedford.
Standard coupling fitted is the 50mm ball type in quick release form, however we offer various other types including treg poly block as well as ring type to fit pintle hooks and ring feeder units, with pricing on application.
Finish is in two-pack auto enamel with colour co-ordinated stone chip stopper coating drawbar, front panel and mudguard fronts. This is up 600mm on the front. Finish colour is your choice of standard colours with corporate and special colours an optional extra. The stone chip stopper coating also acts as a sound deadening.
